The first adaptation of the works of author Thomas Harris was Michael Mann’s 1986 film Manhunter, which represents Will Graham (William Petersen) going up against serial killer (and cannibal) Hannibal Lecter for the first time. This interview with Petersen from the time of the film’s was release was conducted by NBC’s New York anchorwoman at the time, Sue Simmons.

Manhunter blew me away when it was originally released in 1986. I’m really curious to see what they’re going to do with the characters of Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter in the new TV series.
